Overview of the role
This is an individual contributor role & the purpose of this role is to develop and implement the sales strategy to maximize customer value and profitability of ofi PL business. KAM coordinates closely with Key Retail clients to develop an in-depth understanding of their strategic needs & services through relevant ofi solutions to deliver on revenue & profitability goals. This role reports to Commercial Head PL APAC & Nuts Profit Centre Head Australian Almonds. Understand Safety Management Systems relevant to your role, work in a safe manner to ensure you do not put yourself or others at risk and proactively raise and address issues.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship management- Coordinate with key clients to deliver valuable client relationships.
- Focus on Private Label – Nuts, Coffee, Cocoa, Spices & Dairy PL sales of Australian & New Zealand markets by recruiting new customers and strengthening the relationship with current customers through cross sell efforts.
- Liaise and meet with potential customers & different category teams of existing customers to understand their requirements.
- Develop short- & long-term plans to grow long-lasting relationships that address customers’ problems and needs.
Strategic development- Engage in developing & implementing company’s strategic development to achieve revenue goals and maximize profits for PL Business in ANZ.
- Develop short- and long-term plans to deliver organizational objectives of profit growth, market share growth for existing markets / categories, coverage of new markets / categories & sustaining / growing share through launching new products & categories.
- Work closely on improving and strengthening organizational sale strategies for Private Label solutions, including sales values and price strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities within current & new retailers and markets.
Sales Execution- Maintain the day-to-day operation in terms of PL sales with ANZ retailers.
- Deliver budgeted sales metrics, including customer wise, grade wise and product type for ANZ PL business.
- To work closely with the respective PL factory teams for the right product and packaging solution.
- Collaborate closely with other departments internally, including Finance,Tax and Warehouse teams, to ensure efficiency in terms of product availability, storage, delivery and after sales service.
- Check the local pricing and demand with the collaboration with wholesalers and semi-wholesalers.
- Track competition activities in the market.
- Manage shipment or planning activities in close collaboration with respective factories.
- Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports to the management team.
Qualification & other requirements
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience of FMCG sales for Modern Retail or Key Account management in FMCG Food or Beverage sectors for National Brands or for PL Business. Understanding of the food industry at macro level.
- Communication & interpersonal skills, analytical skills, presentation and negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in management/food technology/Economics/Commerce.
