We are a leading supplier of cocoa beans and cocoa ingredients, including cocoa powder, cocoa butter, and cocoa liquor, ranking among the top three processors worldwide. We are a cocoa supplier that provides great natural cocoa ingredients to customers all over the world, working with partners across the supply chain to create indulgent treats for consumers while helping to provide a positive future for cocoa. We work closely with our customers to inspire new concepts and solve for challenges they face in developing new cocoa products for their consumers, while delivering value to their business. Building on two decades of supporting farmers and cocoa-growing communities, around the world, we launched Cocoa Compass in October 2019, with the report published in 2024 winning Sustainability Report of the Year at the UK Green Business Awards! It sets challenging goals to tackle the key issues facing the cocoa supply chain by 2030, with interim milestones for action. We are proud to have already achieved, in 2020, 100% traceability and deforestation monitoring in our direct cocoa supply chain. Overview of the role:

 

This role reports directly to Head of Sales, APAC. As Regional Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding the company’s footprint in the Asia market. You will be responsible for developing new accounts through direct sales and partnership with distributors, promoting the company’s product portfolio, and gathering market intelligence to stay ahead of the competition. You will drive growth and meet sales revenue targets and handle all customer inquiries, including product information, training, pricing and quality matters. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and a growth mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide new sales opportunities, Global Key Accounts, Regional Key Accounts and SMEs across SEA region will be primary objective of this position and will involve working closely with cross functional teams
  • Work closely with Distributors, B2B customers will also be part of a daily routine
  • Responsible for salesforce.com processes such as projects and closing orders; engagement to support opportunities tracking
  • Responsible for forecasting and sales tracking, and to achieve the volume, and profitability targets
  • Conduct product demonstrations, and, organize workshops and seminars regionally
  • Assist and collaborate with regional marketing team in the development of sales support materials and marketing campaigns
  • Drives brand awareness of products, conduct training and seminars for clients,  distributors and sales team
  • Work with Head of Sales to develop overall sales strategy and direction, and sales targets
  • Cross-sell and upsell the product portfolio
  • Analyse data on past performance and project future growth and sales target
  • Gather market, customer, competitive information and intelligence for strategy and pricing
  • Manage contracts and risks
  • Collaborate with various company departments to achieve customers' service expectation
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the supply chain, including knowledge of import regulations, licences and documentation specific to the local market

 

Qualification and Experience:

 

  • Degree in Food Science or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of sales experience in the food ingredients industry
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills and able to work independently are key success factors
  • Self-starter and able to work well under pressure
  • Willing to travel regionally
