Food & Beverage Solutions
We have launched a new platform called Food and Beverage solutions, part of our ingredients and solutions reporting unit. This platform consolidates our current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure. We support customers in developing new consumer concepts and application solutions at our four customer solution centers in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore. Food and Beverage solutions leverages the strengths of our five product platforms, including their global and sustainable supply chain capabilities, a complementary portfolio of high-quality food and ingredients, and extensive ingredient expertise. This enables us to address a diverse range of customer requirements in the rapidly evolving Food and Beverage industry. Built on deep consumer, category, and application understanding, we are enhancing our application and R&D capabilities to provide an end-to-end integrated customer experience. Overview of the role
The role will report directly to China Business Head of F&B Solutions as part of the newly formed F&B Solutions team in China whose mission is to identify and capture opportunities to profitably expand the business into new customers / markets within the product / geography mix
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share for seasoning & marinade powders in the savory & culinary category
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnership, distribution channels and product expansion to drive growth and revenue.
- Develop growth opportunities by prospecting, engaging, and qualifying new leads. Prepare & deliver proposals to potential customers, effectively promoting the value of ofi’s product portfolio to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and innovation teams to conduct market research, analyse consumer trends and competitive landscape, identify emerging opportunities, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, market dynamics and competitor activity and provide reports to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote ofi brand and products with key customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales colleagues and ofi stakeholders to facilitate and ensure the successful onboarding of new customers.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 8-12 years proven success in business development, sales or related roles within the seasoning & marinade industry, preferably within B2B
- A combination of commercial sales, marketing and product management experience is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the China market, consumer preferences and food & beverage industry trends within the savory & culinary ingredients sector.
- Focused on deep understanding of target customer current and future business needs
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Fluency in English is preferred.
- A strategic thinker, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Results oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative, with an ability to lead others effectively in a matrix structure.
