Food & Beverage Solutions

We have launched a new platform called Food and Beverage solutions, part of our ingredients and solutions reporting unit. This platform consolidates our current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure. We support customers in developing new consumer concepts and application solutions at our four customer solution centers in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore.  Food and Beverage solutions leverages the strengths of our five product platforms, including their global and sustainable supply chain capabilities, a complementary portfolio of high-quality food and ingredients, and extensive ingredient expertise. This enables us to address a diverse range of customer requirements in the rapidly evolving Food and Beverage industry. Built on deep consumer, category, and application understanding, we are enhancing our application and R&D capabilities to provide an end-to-end integrated customer experience. This business unit is looking for a customer centric China Marketing Manager to work closely with the colleagues in sales, innovation, insights, and supply chain within the China business. The main deliverable is to execute the category and customer marketing strategies and initiatives, including market, customer and consumer deep understanding, translation of knowledge and insights into actionable initiatives for business growth, localization of frontline tools and communication materials, local execution of campaigns, communications and customer engagement strategies.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Execute and localize category and channel specific marketing strategies, tactics, and communications plans and deliver results measured against key performance indicators, by working closely with internal stakeholders in sales, insights, innovation and supply chain.
  • Analyze customer pain points, alongside consumer trends and preferences to support internal and external ideation sessions to identify product and concept proposals to customers, working with APAC Insights Manager and Innovation Teams.
  • Support key customer engagements, working closely with sales and innovation teams to ideate customer solutions and conduct presentations, utilizing insights to support the proposals to customers.
  • Localize and launch regional marketing assets to engage customers with the ofi offerings to seize opportunities. This includes, but not limited to, PPT presentations, brochures, email marketing and social media campaigns, whitepapers to webinars, events and exhibitions.
  • Localize, implement and ensure adherence to brand guidelines and brand initiatives.
  • Provide local insights on the media landscape and work closely with APAC Communications Manager in PR efforts in China.

 

The candidate

 

Ideal applicants are passionate about the food industry and have experience in the B2B food and beverage solutions space. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be able to skillfully navigate across the breadth and depth of our company, establishing effective working relationships with colleagues both across sales, marketing, & innovation, on a local, regional, and global level.

 

Requirements needed to operate successfully in this role:

 

  • Demonstrable marketing knowledge and expertise within the China food and beverage market with strong ability to execute marketing programs to enable business growth
  • Strong ability to manage multiple hands-on tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Be able to juggle different priorities at the same time while keeping focus.
  • Experience in pipeline development and lead generation activities.
  • Experience in working with market and customer databases as well as with interpreting market reports, such as Nielsen, Innova, Mintel, Euromonitor, Globaldata, etc.
  • Creative problem-solver with a growth mindset; finding ways to simplify process / improve performance
  • Can work with limited direction and supervision, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.
  • Flexible mindset, keen to work in an entrepreneurial environment, able to travel and content to deal with most key stakeholders remotely across global time zones
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethic. This is a demanding role and not a 9-5 commitment
