Position Summary

 

Lead the effective safety management and drive the process of improving the level of Safety Culture at the facility to reach and sustain the zero-incident level and assure environmental compliance.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

Define, implement and monitor effective process of managing legal compliance and EHS management system

Deploy ofi global safety/env. policies and procedures into effective and practical local processes and practices,

Support implementation of reporting processes – coach and support effective implementation of Work Permit System

Define and support the journey of building and reaching the maturity level of safety culture,

Develop, refresh when necessary and sustain an effective process of reporting safety proactive indicators (NM, UC &UA) and embed safety prevention concept in management & supervisory level,

Establish and maintain an effective process of reporting and investigating  (RCA) incidents and process incidents, support investigations and coach teams on good quality of it, perform effective reviews of actions follow up, with the special focus on serious one (having high consequence potential)

Establish and support Leadership safety skills across all levels in the organization, coach them and assure they can be effectively leading safety in their respective areas of responsibility,

Conduct regular safety/ env. inspections/walk the talk and coach local leaders on that particular skills and behavior,

Define and establish behavioral based observation process as necessary, assure its effective based on positive re-enforcement approach. Coach local leaders on that skill,

Analyze the needs for necessary safety Training, TBT and safety coaching - deliver safety training

Follow up and assure effective management of identified areas of improvements

Participate in ofi safety audits for other locations and capitalize best practices obtained,

Develop and assure effectiveness of contractor’s management system, including the auditing process,

Support/justify CAPEX projects for EHS,

Actively participate in safety networking within ofi/product platform (calls, SharePoint, exchanging best practices on safety, etc.)

Develop and implement safety innovations and new safety Initiatives that strengthens local safety culture & env.

Scope Data – where relevant:

Lagging safety KPI - no. of serious events, LTIFR, TRFR, no of PSI,

Leading Safety KPI – LIFR, no of reported NM/UC/UA, CAPA %, no of safety inspections done by Leaders,

 

Position Requirements

 

3-7 years, 2-3 years of Facility Safety Manager/Leader position

1-2 years experience in implementing safety global/international programs and initiatives

Bachelor’s  degree in Industrial/Occupational health and safety or engineering with an emphasis in safety, or closely related field.

 

Certified Safety professional & experienced safety trainer

Strong hands-on approach

The ability to understand and enforce company and local safety rules, standards and procedures,

The ability to identify hazards, evaluate and prioritize risks and advice and follow up on appropriate countermeasures,

The ability to high quality accidents analysis and develop and deliver professional safety training,

Ability to interact across all levels in the organization and build trustful relationships with key stakeholders

The ability to engage people, enable learning and coaching in behavioral change to achieve excellent safety culture.
