Job Description

 

OFI invites dynamic and seasoned experts in the field of manufacturing to lead the technical side of its cocoa processing business. As the Technical head, you would be responsible for the overall development of cocoa processing , with direct reporting to the Plant Manager. The incumbent will be directly responsible for research & development, quality and consistency of finished products, innovation deployment, and project management. You will seek continuous operational improvement and will be leading the effective management of raw materials, intermediate and finished product stock levels. As a process leader, you will also manage site hygiene, health and safety of the unit and the teams working in them.

Strategic Effectiveness

 

  • Be the single point solution centre as the leader for day-to-day technical activities for the company's commercial product manufacturing.
  • Be the operations command centre with regards to technical operations, production, quality  within the manufacturing.
  • Provide effective technological support & collaborate with the engineering department to develop new equipment and machines.
  • Strong ability and In-depth exposure in handling new project expansions.

Operational Effectiveness

  • Work extensively to develop new technology for cocoa processing products.
  • The role requires active management of cleaning, extracting, treating, and packaging of products.
  • Managing Turnkey projects for effective management of raw-material handling to processing, treatments, and packaging.

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Lead the organization towards culture development and embed risk-based continuous improvement and operational excellence. 
  • Implement product development modules effectively to facilitate the modification of existing products.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all subordinates within company guidelines and current legislation.
  • Ensure all functional managers are aware of the correct codes of practice, both statutory and advisory.
  • Work with the environmental sensitivity as the core, manage production sustainably and ensure production plant produces minimal dust and noise both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • The basic qualification required is of Engineer in electrical maintenance
  • Should possess 6-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in managing large scale operations and implementing behaviour-based safety programs.
  • Have a demonstrated ability in strategic planning with experience of successful implementation of new strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills, including experience managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously.  
  • A detailed oriented person with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team of diverse experience.
