About Us

As a leading provider of high-quality food and beverage ingredients, we work with farming communities across the globe to grow, source and produce ingredients that are good for consumers, farmers, and the world around us.  We supply household food brands and manufacturers worldwide with cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts and spices ingredients which are often grown on our own farms and estates and sourced from hundreds of thousands of farmers across ~50 countries. Along with our diverse manufacturing and innovation capabilities, this means we can provide ingredients for a range of products, from a plant-based latte mix to an almond based snack bar or a dairy-free ice cream.  Making a positive impact on people and planet is a core component of our Purpose, to be the change for good food and a healthy future. With a deep-rooted presence in the countries where our ingredients are grown, we are closer to farmers, enabling better quality, and more reliable, traceable, and transparent supply. And whoever we’re with, whatever we’re doing, we always make it real.

Role purpose

The role is responsible for the accurate, controlled and timely execution of treasury payment activities across multiple ofi entities, business units, currencies, bank accounts and geographies. The incumbent will oversee payment operations, resolve exceptions, maintain banking access and support payment connectivity and system-change initiatives, while ensuring compliance with internal controls, sanctions requirements, anti-money laundering standards and bank cut-off times.

Key responsibilities

  • Payment execution and oversight: Manage end-to-end payment processing for assigned ofi entities and oversee the Shared Services Payments Team to ensure compliance with approved standard operating procedures and control requirements.
  • Operational processing: Execute and monitor outward remittances, foreign-exchange settlements and related banking transactions through OpenText / ECM, SAP host-to-host channels, bank portals and other approved platforms.
  • Timeliness and cut-off management: Ensure payment batches are created, verified, approved, transmitted and accepted by cash-management banks within applicable banking cut-off times. Escalate delays or rejected files promptly.
  • Investigation and exception management: Investigate inward and outward remittance exceptions, rejected or delayed payments, missing payment visibility, bank queries and settlement issues. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and banking partners towards issue resolution.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Respond proactively to queries from business units, shared-services teams, banks, Treasury, Compliance and Information Technology, providing clear status updates and agreed follow-up actions.
  • Banking administration: Act as a subject-matter expert for bank and corporate-card portals, including navigation, user administration, access maintenance and periodic access reviews in line with segregation-of-duties requirements.
  • Controls and compliance: Ensure payment activities comply with internal policies, documented procedures and relevant regulatory requirements. Support effective indexing and verification controls and the proper maintenance of internal restricted or blacklisted-name records.
  • Sanctions and anti-money laundering awareness: Keep current with developments in internal and bank sanctions-screening and anti-money laundering requirements affecting remittance transactions. Escalate potential concerns through the approved compliance channels.
  • Payment connectivity: Coordinate the investigation and resolution of host-to-host transmission issues. Support multi-bank connectivity implementation, testing and stabilisation activities.
  • Systems and change delivery: Participate in user acceptance testing, defect resolution and deployment support for system upgrades or migrations, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Treasury and Risk Management, OpenText / ECM cloud migration and other relevant treasury platforms.
  • Liquidity support: Support the Cash Manager in ensuring adequate account funding for daily cash requirements by executing approved interbank and intercompany fund transfers.
  • Reporting and continuous improvement: Prepare periodic reporting on payment volumes and values, operational exceptions, root causes, resolution status and technical incidents. Use the findings to recommend automation, process simplification, control enhancements and the removal of duplicated effort.
  • Audit and projects: Support bank-confirmation and audit activities, and undertake other treasury operations responsibilities, reports and projects assigned by the supervisor.
