Job Description
A new role has opened within the Olam Food Ingredients’ Finance for Sustainability (F4S) team for a sustainability reporting Senior Analyst / Manager.
This person will play a leading role in supporting ofi to achieve its external sustainability reporting obligations and ambitions, including ratings agency submissions, driving regulatory compliance and alignment with external financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on the delivery of all external sustainability reporting initiatives for ofi, covering requirements as part of the Olam Group as well as building ofi’s profile on a standalone basis.
- Ensure ofi is fully compliant with the global sustainability regulations, in place today as well as developing, in the UK, Singapore and across ofi’s global operational footprint. This will include GRI, ISSB, CSRD, TNFD and Modern Slavery, amongst others. Support with measuring ofi’s carbon emissions across its extensive operations and farmer supply chain.
- Lead ofi’s submissions to global sustainability ratings agencies and external questionnaires such as CDP, FTSE4Good and Oxfam, amongst others.
- Partner with F4S colleagues who lead on the Data Governance and Assurance aspects within the team, to ensure relevant and high-quality data is provided to support the mandatory and voluntary reporting activities mentioned above.
- Support with ofi’s sustainability risk modelling process, developing insights and formulating risk mitigating strategies.
- Support in defining good sustainability governance processes at both a Board and Management level within ofi.
- Support global coordination across ofi’s functions and product platforms to drive awareness and adoption of sustainability reporting requirements.
- Support delivery of ofi’s separate Product Sustainability reports, strengthening alignment with ofi’s Group reporting narrative and our Sustainability Strategy, Choices for Change, where possible.
- Support in driving alignment between sustainability and financial reporting, working closely with ofi’s Finance function and operational teams to ensure sustainability risks are appropriately reflected and accounted for within the annual financial statements.
- Prepare materials that support updates to senior stakeholders including the Board Sustainability & Governance Committee, CFO, CSO, ofi CLT and Sustainability SLT.
- Work closely with ofi’s Communications team to drive consistent messaging and greater alignment with technical sustainability matters where relevant.
- Work with external advisors to support delivery of key reporting activities.
Requirements
You have strong, relevant experience in both sustainability and financial reporting. You are a strong communicator with the ability to keep people and processes on track.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- C.5 - 10 years’ experience (depends on if this is a snr analyst or manager role)
- Confidence to work in multicultural and diverse environment.
- Sound knowledge of global sustainability standards and frameworks and experience implementing them
- An understanding of data governance systems and change management programmes
- Strong project management, collaboration and organizational skills
- Experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting, Sustainability Reporting, Assurance and Risk Management.
- Stakeholder engagement capabilities and strong presentation skills
- Strong written & communication skills
- Report and technical writing experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks across time zones and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- You are proactive, autonomous, responsible and results focused
- Advanced user of MS Office and other data analysis tools.
