Job Description

Reporting

  • Oversee and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reports for the UK entities within the Group 
  • Manage timely external audits and statutory filings of financial statements
  • Managing the timely calculation and filings of tax returns
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls and risk management frameworks
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes and review variance analysis for UK entities

Interface, Audit & Review 

  • Assist in preparation of technical accounting memos  in line with IFRS standard and liaising with auditors to close out any related issues.
  • Liaising with offshore accounting teams to ensure accounting entries are posted in a timely manner and in compliance with the Group accounting policies.
  • Partnering with key Business team anchors for finance related requirements for UK operations

Administrative activities

  • Completion of quarterly ONS surveys relating to UK entities
  • Other activities as required

Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Understanding of accounting standard and application including IFRS, UK GAAP and tax laws
  • Understanding of the aspects involved in a multi-currency Group consolidation.
  • Proven analytical skills & ability to interpret or generate all types of financial data, financial reports and statements.
  • Knowledge of SAP  Consolidation software is desirable. 
  • Knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Power point

  • Ability to work independently and possess high degree of self-initiative.
