Job Role summary

As Area Sales Manager, you will be fully accountable for our success in the UK market. You will develop and implement a growth strategy in the region and will be instrumental in the transition in your Area from a transactional to a solution provider approach and maximize our market presence and profits.

 

Job Description

As Area Sales Manager at Spices by ofi you will…

  • Manage the existing sales and develop a strategy for growth through a deep understanding of the market and the customer needs.
  • Be an expert in each market under your responsibility, including market players, main customers, legislation, trends, cultural preferences, relevant associations, etc.
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy in the area.
  • Be an expert on our products and provide guidance to customers concerning the different spices markets and to integrate or create new solutions.
  • Manage existing customers in the area with a focus on growth. 
  • Build, develop and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders internally and with our customers. 
  • Pro-actively develop sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Manage contract negotiations in close cooperation with the respective origin teams.
  • Maintain and manage your project pipeline actively.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Report on activities and actively use the CRM tools. 
  • Be present in the market on a regular basis. 

Reporting into the Head of Sales EMEA – Spices, you will work in close collaboration with origins, sales, customer operations and quality teams. 

Requirements

Our new colleague is:

Ideally having a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the B2B spices industry.

  • With a bachelor’s degree or similar by experience; 
  • Able to fluently communicate in English;
  • Creative in finding solutions, a strategic thinker who also takes action and executes; 
  • With a passion for business development and revenue growth;
  • Able to understand market dynamics;
  • The ability to communicate with and influence decision-makers at all levels; 
  • With a go-getter attitude and accountable personality with full ownership of responsibilities;
  • Results oriented with good negotiation skills and the ability to link short term goals with long term goals for customers and ofi;
  • A natural born people person, with very good listening skills and with the ability to create strong relationships with customers;
  • Flexible and open to new situations and people, enthusiastic, assertive, commercially minded, with a hunger for new learnings and fun to work with;
  • Consultative selling experience
  • Holding a valid UK work permit/free to work in the UK
