Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Communication Officer to join our Company's Communications team. The Senior Communication Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance our corporate image and engage stakeholders effectively. Reporting to the Communication Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and impactful communication across various channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development:
   - Contribute to the development of comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
   - Collaborate with the Communication Manager to identify key communication priorities and initiatives.

2. Content Creation:
  - Write and edit compelling content for various communication channels, including press releases, articles, speeches, and internal communications.
  - Ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.

3. Media Relations:
   - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists.
   - Prepare and distribute press releases, organize media briefings, and manage media inquiries.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:
   - Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
   - Coordinate communication efforts to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.

5. Event Management:
   - Plan and execute communication-related events, launches, conferences, and corporate gatherings.
   - Ensure seamless coordination with internal teams and external partners.

6. Analytics and Reporting:
   - Track and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies.
   - Provide regular reports to the Communication Manager, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations and Journalism
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a communication role, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong media relations experience and crisis communication capabilities.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
