The role

An opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager Dairy who will be responsible for buying and selling dairy ingredients in the European Union and Middle East markets. The person’s primary responsibility will be to maintain and develop sourcing and a strong market franchise.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the regional head, your main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Build, develop and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at our suppliers and customers in European Union and Middle East
  • Be responsible for pro-actively developing sales opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Manage contract negotiations in close cooperation with the respective product team
  • Negotiate pricing, conditions and other aspects to close deals
  • Maintain and manage your project pipeline actively, provide sales forecasts and visit reports with clear objectives and actions
  • Collaborate intensively with your sales colleagues, customer operations team and product teams
  • Travel up to 30% of your time to suppliers and customers
  • Coordinate shipments with suppliers and resolving pending issues
  • Track the positions and debtors outstanding, ensure payments within agreed limits 
  • Weekly/ monthly reporting, position & sales, market reports, credit & health reports, contract updates

Requirements

For this position we are looking for a candidate who has a:

  • Passion for food and keen interest in following and identifying trends and developments in the international food industry.
  • Go-getter attitude, perfectly at ease in a sales & marketing role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher. 
  • Creative way in finding solutions and is a strategic thinker who also acts and executes. 
  • Results oriented mindset with good negotiation skills and the ability to link short term goals with long term goals for customers and ofi.
  • Very good listening skills, with the ability to create strong relationships with customers, a natural born people person. 
  • Flexible and open to new situations and people mindset and is enthusiastic, assertive, commercially minded, with a hunger for new learnings and fun to work with.
  • Fluent ability to communicate in both English and second European language.
