Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coffee sourcing and procurement from farmers, cooperatives, and traders.
  • Conduct field visits to coffee-growing regions to assess crop quality, yield, and farmer relations.
  • Support in price negotiations and contract management with suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends, coffee prices, and supply chain dynamics to ensure competitive procurement.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that sourced coffee meets company and market standards.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports to improve sourcing efficiency.
  • Assist in the implementation of sustainability initiatives and traceability programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and export operations.

Requirements

  • MBA graduate from a leading university in Uganda.
  • Strong interest in coffee procurement, supply chain management, and agribusiness.
  • Analytical mindset with good numerical, excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to rural coffee-growing regions for fieldwork.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building supplier relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
