Cocoa

We’re a super specialist in all things cocoa – beans, powders, butters and beyond. In fact, we are the number one 
cocoa bean supplier globally with a leading presence in 10 key producing countries across Africa, Asia and South America. In our direct sourcing, our traceability from the farm to the factory allows us to drive sustainable practices across the cocoa supply chain. 

Overview of the Position

This role involves overseeing and managing the supply chain processes for the business unit, ensuring efficient operations and implementing strategies to improve productivity and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the supply chain strategy for the product within the unit.
  • Develop and implement business plans for the unit, conduct reviews and briefing and lead the team towards the attainment of set goals.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources and enhance maximum efficiency by eliminating controllable losses.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and coordination with local governing bodies and authorities.
  • Assess and analyse market conditions and market information to support business decisions in the unit.
  • Collaborate with the team on regular business review and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage team members, evaluate their performance and give feedback.

Skills and Requirements

  • A graduate with 1-3 years of post-qualification industry experience.
  • An understanding of how, and the willingness to go the extra mile, to bring added business value. Self-driven with a strong result orientation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, ability to read and comprehend tasks such as counterparty and credit risk management.
  • Project management and effective implementation and assessment of various projects in the unit.
  • Organisation Skills and attention to details.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.
  • Previous experience in Sales, Supply chain and Operations would be an added advantage.
