Overview of the role

  • Implement and execute global ofi and regional safety programs for covered facilities and processes to grow safety culture of zero incidents and achieve world class performance in safety
  • Advice on ofi safety standards /Country safety laws content applicability, provide guidance and support on the effective implementation of them – exchange and capitalize best practices and assure adherence ,  
  • Coach and train on safety culture, recognize the levels of maturity, recommend, support next step of improvements 
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to facility safety professionals and leadership teams
  • Visit facilities regularly to detect existing or potential accident hazards and determine corrective or preventive measures, do walk the talk and coach local leaders on safety principles and assure effective management of identified areas of improvements,
  • Analyze current situations in safety performance (leading and lagging), support the facility teams on improvements
  • Analyze incidents happening and identify trends, common route causes that can shall be addressed by facility overreaching actions and train and assure high quality incident investigations ,do follow up on corrective action.
  • Coach and set up the reference for establishing personal safety objectives for facility leadership teams, 
  • Drive the development our safety professionals, cooperating with local leadership to ensure a solid support 
  • Work directly with Regional/Global Head of Safety to ensure alignment on safety initiatives
  • Track progress and publish results on current safety objectives and metrics.
  • Establish and maintain safety cross auditing process, prepare the resources, and follow up on the execution of the audit plan as well as follow up on identified gaps and recommendations
  • Manage and monitor training programs to meet safety requirements
  • Oversee and advice on compliance with Country and local safety regulatory requirements.
  • Scope Data – where relevant:
    • Lagging safety KPI - no. of serious events, LTIFR, TRFR, no of PSI, 
    • Leading Safety KPI – LIFR, no of reported NM/UC/UA, CAPA %, no of safety inspections done by Leaders, 
       

Requirements

  • 6-10 years, 2-4years of Country/Cluster position 
  • 2 -3 years experience in implementing safety management Country/Cluster & global programs for industrial operations
  • Bachelor’s  degree in Industrial/Occupational health and safety or engineering with an emphasis in safety, or closely related field.
  • Certified Safety professional
  • Strong leadership skills – driving changes, creating engagement, experienced safety trainer and coach, 
  • Assertive and strong believer in the power of teamwork and alignment, 
  • Expertise in implementing safety programs, 
  • Strong hands-on approach
  • Strong organizing, planning, analytical problem-solving and decision making are required.
  • Ability to interact across all levels in the organization and build trustful relationships with key stakeholders
  • Expertise in developing and implementing culture change
  • Preferred experience in Global Agribusiness, International Manufacturing, FMCG sector
