Job Description
Reporting to the COE FICO Director, the SAP FICO Lead will support both the Finance and Controller functions. This role involves leading the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP FICO processes and systems to ensure that business requirements are met efficiently.
This ideal candidate should be well-versed in the configuration of SAP. Strong functional knowledge in Accounting and Costing will be essential to success. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skills.
Key Deliverables
- Overseeing the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP FICO-related activities.
- Develop and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for SAP FICO processes.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand business requirements and then develop and map solutions in the SAP system.
- Provide hands-on expertise in configuring SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Management, Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Material ledger & Actual Costing, etc.).
- Coordinate with cross-functional team members to resolve issues and provide solutions in SAP.
- Oversee the SAP FICO module during system upgrades, enhancements, and support packs.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies in all FICO activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ensure effective collaboration between FICO COE and other SAP COEs (e.g., MM, SD, PP) and business units.
- Manage up-to-date documentation for all SAP FICO processes and configurations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required, and a major in Finance or Costing is preferred.
- Certified management accountants (CPA/CMA) are valued.
- Previous business/ manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience with SAP FICO with at least three end-to-end implementation projects is required. An understanding of accounting business processes is required.
- Must possess excellent knowledge in the following areas:
- Finance New General Ledger, asset accounting, accounts payable (must have Automatic Payment Program exposure), and accounts receivable.
- Product costing.
- Cost center and Internal order accounting.
- Controlling Profitability Analysis (COPA).
- Integration of Finance and Controlling modules with other modules.
- Bank Accounting (preferably to have experience in H2H & In-House Cash Management).
- Taxation.
- Material ledger & Actual costing
- Good understanding of Master data.
- Should have good knowledge and understanding of Management reporting.
- Strong skills in Excel (able to perform all basic functions such as Pivots, V-lookup, and formulas) are required.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, are required.
- The ability to be adaptable, capable, self-motivated, and confident is required.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Accounting Standards (IAS) & USA Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) are preferred.
