About the Role: IT Project Manager – Infrastructure & Operations
Location: Whitefield, Bangalore
As part of its business transformation journey, ofi is implementing multiple digital & IT initiatives for sustainability and origination operations. There are multiple large and medium-sized digital and IT projects in the pipeline.
The Global Portfolio & Project Management function oversees all projects and programmes across the Global Digital & IT function. As an IT Project Manager focussing on Infrastructure & Operations technologies within the Global Portfolio & Project Management function, you will work alongside the Infrastructure & Operations Centre of Excellence (CoE) to manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of infrastructure related projects against our strategic goals.
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets the strategic objectives and business benefits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of IT Infrastructure technologies and principles, possess good communication and inter-personal skills with a proven and recent track record of multiple IT infrastructure project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and manage delivery of IT infrastructure projects from initiation and design through to implementation and transition to BAU support.
- Develop and document detailed project plans including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Identify and engage with key internal and external stakeholders and garner their involvement and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to project schedules. Resolve or escalate issues and conflicts that may arise during project execution.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring efficient utilization of the resources. Allocate resources appropriately to meet project requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle to mitigate or minimize their impact on project success.
- Develop change management plans to facilitate a smooth transition during project implementations. Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders and manage their expectations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change requests. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify lessons learned from each project and implement improvements to project management methodologies and processes.
- Track project benefits, compare them against the initial objectives and deliverables, and report them to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree (or equivalent) in information technology, computer science or a related field
- Certification in ITIL Service Management (v4 preferred), Project Management (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proven delivery experience of enterprise infrastructure projects, preferably in a global organisation.
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure components, including cloud technologies (Azure / AWS), networking, storage, servers, virtualization and security principles
- Good business acumen, with an understanding of applying Digital & IT technologies to enable business strategies and expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering solutions to complex business challenges.
- Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
- Ability and desire to travel up to 40% of the time with a flexible working schedule (early start or delayed end) based on the global project requirements.
