Food & Beverage Solutions
We have launched a new platform called Food and Beverage solutions, part of our ingredients and solutions reporting unit. This platform consolidates our current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure. We support customers in developing new consumer concepts and application solutions at our four customer solution centers in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore. Food and Beverage solutions leverages the strengths of our five product platforms, including their global and sustainable supply chain capabilities, a complementary portfolio of high-quality food and ingredients, and extensive ingredient expertise. This enables us to address a diverse range of customer requirements in the rapidly evolving Food and Beverage industry. Built on deep consumer, category, and application understanding, we are enhancing our application and R&D capabilities to provide an end-to-end integrated customer experience. Job Description
Job Title: Technical Sales Chef - Savoury & Culinary
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Experience:
- Total Experience: 6 - 8 years
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar Technical Sales Chef or Culinary Sales role.
About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Sales Chef to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background with a passion for savory products and a proven ability to combine culinary expertise with effective sales strategies. This role requires a self-driven individual who can independently manage client relationships, conduct impactful product demonstrations, and possess in-depth knowledge of the local HoReCa market and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Demonstration & Application: Conduct engaging and informative cooking demonstrations to prospective and existing clients, showcasing the versatile application and benefits of our savory seasonings, marinades, and Ready-To-Cook (RTC) gravies. This includes demonstrating preparation techniques and highlighting flavour profiles.
- Sales & Business Development: Independently manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing, including prospecting, preset and cold calling, and follow-up. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the HoReCa sector, food manufacturing, and other relevant culinary segments.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with chefs, culinary professionals, purchasing managers, and distributors. Understand the client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of local market trends, competitor activities, and evolving culinary preferences. Provide feedback to the product development team to inform future innovations.
- Technical Support: Offer expert culinary advice and technical support to clients regarding product usage, customization, and troubleshooting.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market feedback. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Culinary Graduate (degree or diploma from a recognized institution).
- Culinary Expertise: Proven expertise in savoury cooking, with a strong understanding of ingredients, flavour profiles, and food preparation techniques.
- Demonstration Ability: Exceptional ability to demonstrate cooking effectively and engagingly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and proficiency in local languages (e.g., Kannada, Hindi) is highly advantageous.
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated independent sales calling and negotiation skills.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Bengaluru culinary market, including key players, distributors, and consumption patterns.
- Self-Driven: Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within Bengaluru and surrounding areas for client visits and demonstrations.
