Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Sustainability Data & Methodology team. The first core focus of this role is to help build and a footprint database and to support improvements of our digital footprinting tool through testing and validation
The work is focused and involves structured tasks that are essential for ensuring data accuracy and consistency - ideal for someone who enjoys focused, behind-the-scenes work and wants to gain hands-on experience in a corporate sustainability setting. Depending on your interest and capacity, you may also contribute to related initiatives, offering broader exposure to sustainability data and reporting.

Starting as soon as possible for a period of 3-6 months. Minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with work primarily based at our Amsterdam office

Key Deliverables

•    Support the development of a footprint database to track farmer group performance and contribute to corporate sustainability reporting.
•    Structure sourcing data – Develop master records of key supply chain entities and ensure consistency and traceability across datasets.
•    Perform footprint calculations – Use digital tools and Excel models to generate footprint metrics.
•    Validate data and outputs – Check accuracy and support improvements in our digital systems.
•    Contribute to ad-hoc tasks – Provide flexible support across the team depending on project needs.

Requirements

•    A currently enrolled student (MA/MSc) in the field of Agriculture, Sustainability, or any related discipline.  
•    Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with structured data.
•    Detail-oriented – You enjoy structured work and take pride in accuracy.
•    Focused and reliable – You can stay engaged during screen-based tasks and follow through on commitments.
•    Curious and eager to learn – You ask questions, seek understanding, and want to grow your knowledge in sustainability.
•    Organized and proactive – You manage your time well and take initiative when needed
•    Experience in life cycle assessment (LCA) and modelling is a plus.
