Food & Beverage Solutions

We have launched a new platform called Food and Beverage solutions, part of our ingredients and solutions reporting unit. This platform consolidates our current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure. We support customers in developing new consumer concepts and application solutions at our four customer solution centers in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore.  Food and Beverage solutions leverages the strengths of our five product platforms, including their global and sustainable supply chain capabilities, a complementary portfolio of high-quality food and ingredients, and extensive ingredient expertise. This enables us to address a diverse range of customer requirements in the rapidly evolving Food and Beverage industry. Built on deep consumer, category, and application understanding, we are enhancing our application and R&D capabilities to provide an end-to-end integrated customer experience. Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Intern in Amsterdam, Netherlands.  The main purpose of this role is ensuring effective support to the European F&BS Supply Chain team across all departments. The role becomes necessary as the F&BS European business starts growing in both volume and complexity.  Key focus areas include carrying out and optimizing daily tasks, maintaining data records, and leading specific short-term continuous improvement projects. 

The position is based out of our centrally located office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 

Key Deliverables

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Food and Beverage Solutions EMEAI the main duties of this role will include:

  • Data Maintenance
    • Ensure data relevant for our Supply and QFS KPIs are well maintained at all times.
    • Maintain relevant files such as the Capability Matrix or Ingredients Repository whenever changes require an update.
  • Support in managing Team priorities
    • Takes accountability in coordinating certain Team activities, as the need arises.
    • Support the workload of the Supply Chain Coordinator or the QFS Head, as the need arises.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Picks up 1-2 projects aimed at improving the ways of working within F&BS SC across EMEAI. These projects can be related to data management, processes or specific categories. Relevant projects should have a time span manageable within the internship period.

 

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following:
•    Student at a higher education institute (Bachelors /Masters) specialised in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or Engineering, or related field. 
•    Relevant exposure to supply chain (through studies, past internships, volunteering activities).
•    A hands-on, and no-nonsense attitude. 
•    Curious to learn and develop. Eager to support where they can.
•    Fluent in English (verbally and in writing).
•    Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
•    Data analysis skills.
•    Proficiency in building reporting in BI tools is a plus.
