Role Overview
Are you ready to drive large-scale climate impact in global agri supply chains?
As ofi’s Climate Action Manager - Supply Chains, you’ll lead decarbonisation efforts across diverse crops like cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts, and spices. You’ll shape and scale climate-smart farming, GHG measurement, and carbon reduction strategies within our sustainability programmes—aligned with our Choices for Change targets and SBTi commitments.
This role is ideal for a seasoned sustainability leader with field experience, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. You’ll train and guide teams and implementing partners across origins, collaborate with data and digital experts, and ensure our tools and reporting meet the highest standards. You’ll also help unlock business value through verified GHG reductions and removals, supporting customer needs and compliance.

Key Deliverables
- Oversee existing and new decarbonization projects across ofi’s supply chains, aligned with our Choices for Change strategy and meeting customers’ needs.
- Lead implementation and scaling of GHG reduction and removal programs across multiple origin countries, with a focus on smallholder systems.
- Drive and support decarbonisation assurance and verification including compliance with leading sectorial standards for GHG reductions and removals across our product portfolio.
- Report progress on supply chain climate action internally and externally, including to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Support development of climate-related customer offerings and proposals, including low-carbon products and services.
- Contribute to broader sustainability goals, including farmer livelihoods, biodiversity, and regenerative agriculture.
Required Skills & Experience
- A personal passion for sustainable agriculture and food systems.
- Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in environmental science, agronomy, climate policy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing carbon action projects within relevant land use industries (food/agriculture or forestry value chains, or community-based initiatives).
- Deep understanding of land use change and climate mitigation strategies across ofi’s agricultural product portfolio, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical, impact-driven contexts.
- Strong analytical and data literacy skills, including familiarity with GHG measurement methodologies, quantification tools, and impact verification frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with carbon standards and verification protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within cross-cultural, remote, and interdisciplinary teams.
- High intercultural intelligence and adaptability in communicating with diverse audiences, both internally and externally.
- Curious and collaborative mindset, with a focus on co-creation and stakeholder engagement.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for execution—able to balance long-term vision with operational delivery.
- Strong influencing skills, capable of building trust and alignment across complex stakeholder networks
