AtSource Sustainability and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Analyst

The Role
The Sustainability, Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will play a key role in the implementation of AtSource’s day to day sustainability activities and ongoing projects. You will work closely with colleagues in the AtSource team and broader ofi sustainability teams to guide, ensure and monitor compliance with AtSource system requirements across our supply chains. This role will support the development and implementation of the Monitoring & Evaluation strategy for AtSource and deliver reports on the AtSource overall progress on key results for internal and external purposes. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, pragmatic and with great communication and engagement skills.
You will develop and put into practice your understanding of sustainability working with ofi colleagues and external stakeholders while also understanding the balance between the demands of stakeholders and the pressures of a commercial business.
Key Deliverables
- Implementation of AtSource: Support the implementation of AtSource sustainability activities and processes, work closely with the business units teams (coffee, cocoa, nuts, spices, and dairy product platforms) in origin countries for the implementation of AtSource, develop and conduct trainings, workshops and working sessions on sustainability topics with ofi colleagues, research on Agri sustainability schemes and relevant regulations, ensure the articulation and documentation of business unit requirements for the development and testing of sustainability and verification digital tools, etc.
- Guide and support Business Units and other ofi stakeholders to understand, consistently implement and comply with AtSource requirements and procedures (i.e., sustainability scheme implementation, social and environmental data gathering and submission, enrolment of supply chains in AtSource, external verification), including the revision and tracking of the sustainability scheme assessments and continuous improvement plans conducted to the supply chains in AtSource, to obtain sustainability performance findings.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Support the design, development, and rollout of the M&E strategy for AtSource and general sustainability programs, aligning closely with ofi's and its Business Units’ sustainability strategies and corporate reporting requirements. This activity includes the development, monitoring of strategic KPIs for the AtSource system and the development of AtSource progress reports to equivalent schemes, customer sourcing programs, industry platforms (e.g., Global Coffee Platform, FSA, etc.).
- Benchmarking activities: Provide technical and operational support to the implementation of sustainability benchmarking and equivalence processes to compare the AtSource system with other sustainability schemes, certifications, and private sourcing programs.
Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in sustainability or similar in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in sustainability programs in agricultural sectors, sustainability schemes, or similar initiatives.
- Knowledge or experience in M&E is a plus.
- Understanding of agricultural value chains, sustainability certifications, and familiarity with the current issues and discussions pertaining to sustainability in the agricultural context.
- Data-management skills (organizing, structuring, analyzing, and monitoring data) and knowledge of data visualization tools (including Power BI) is a plus.
- Analytical skills, ability to perform research on sustainability-related topics, and derive key learnings for decision-making.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and ability to engage, persuade and work with an international team around the globe.
- Pro-active, pragmatic, solution-oriented, “can-do” mentality, able to prioritize effectively and dedicated to enhancing clarity and efficiency in teams’ workflows.
- Fluency in English (oral and written). Other languages (French, Portuguese, Spanish) are a plus.
