Main Purpose of the role

We are seeking an The HR Manager – Cashew who will serve as the strategic and operational Human Resources partner for the Cashew business in Côte d'Ivoire. The role is responsible for driving people strategies, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, compliance, and HR operations to support business growth and operational excellence across processing plants and commercial operations.

The incumbent will work closely with business leaders to build organizational capability, improve employee engagement, promote a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

 

HR Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all people-related matters.
  • Partner with managers to align workforce plans with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on organization design, capability building, restructuring, and change management initiatives.
  • Support leadership in driving employee productivity and operational excellence.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead recruitment activities to attract and retain high-quality talent.
  • Develop workforce plans to support seasonal and long-term business requirements.
  • Ensure timely hiring for key operational, technical, and managerial positions.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Foster a positive employee relations climate across factories and offices.
  • Manage disciplinary procedures, investigations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and promote employee wellbeing.
  • Promote open communication and employee wellbeing programs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
  • Ensure effective administration of benefits and employee rewards programs.
  • Provide inputs on merit increases, promotions, and organizational changes.
  • Monitor payroll-related activities and ensure accuracy and compliance.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with Côte d'Ivoire labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and separations.

Industrial & Employee Relations

  • Partner with operational leadership to manage workforce relations within manufacturing sites.
  • Support engagement with employee representatives, works councils, and labor authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with collective agreements and labor regulations.

HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and report key HR metrics, including headcount, attrition, absenteeism, productivity, and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Utilize HR data to drive decision-making and workforce optimization.
  • Identify trends and recommend corrective actions to improve organizational performance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree or professional HR certification preferred.

 

Experience

  • 8-12 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in an HR leadership or HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, FMCG, or commodity businesses preferred.
  • Strong exposure to employee relations and labor law matters.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
